Hello, I am Ronda Collins, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by life's circumstances and we seek to reclaim the balance in our lives. I provide a safe, judgement-free space to talk. During our sessions we will work together to identify underlying experiences and core beliefs that are causing current conflicts in your life, whether related to family, parenting, work, school, relationships, etc. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed techniques, and a combination of therapeutic modalities, to guide you in finding healthy solutions in order to live a more fulfilling life.
For more than 8 years, I have served individuals and families, in Washington DC and New York City, by providing therapy, case management, and care coordination. I have worked with families impacted by the foster care system, and have helped individuals with depression, self-esteem issues, ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorders. I enjoy working with teens, college students and adults. I believe that showing yourself compassion and self-acceptance is an important step towards your growth. As a psychotherapist I provide warmth, empathy, and respect, and I genuinely care about your growth. I look forward to walking with you on your journey to reclaim balance.
