Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process distressing experiences that may continue to affect their emotions, relationships, self-worth, and overall well-being. Many people seek EMDR for trauma, anxiety, emotionally overwhelming experiences, childhood wounds, or persistent negative beliefs that feel difficult to move beyond.

Sometimes difficult experiences remain “stuck” in the nervous system, causing people to feel emotionally reactive, anxious, emotionally numb, or triggered by present-day situations. EMDR helps the brain reprocess these experiences in a safe and structured way, so they feel less emotionally overwhelming over time.

Clients often report feeling more emotionally grounded, less triggered by past experiences, more confident, and better able to cope with daily stressors and relationships. EMDR can be helpful for both major traumatic events and ongoing life experiences that have impacted how you view yourself or the world around you.

As an EMDR-trained therapist, I provide a supportive, culturally sensitive space where healing can occur at a pace that feels safe, collaborative, and manageable for you.

You Don’t Have to Stay Stuck in Old Patterns

Healing does not mean forgetting what happened.

It means the experience no longer controls your emotions, relationships, self-worth, or daily life in the same way.

Many clients begin to feel:

• more emotionally grounded

• less reactive to triggers

• calmer in relationships

• more confident and connected to themselves

• less burdened by the past
